I'm just wondering what everyone's thoughts are about these apps that generate a nude image from an uploaded photo. I can't see any justification for this but do other people think it's just a bit of fun? |

I saw a program that mentioned these and they only work on female photos, they do not work on males, as part of the study someone uploaded a photo of a guy and he ended up naked with boobs and a vagina
These sorts of apps should be banned as it makes faking pics of women who haven’t given consent to them really easy for guys to make, upload and use to cause women problems.

Personally I dont like the sound of them. There is more and more AI about these days and some of it is scarily too real and the lines start to blurr what is real and what isnt and thats what I dont like. |

I listened to a podcast a while back about how these apps have been used to create deep fake of women, teens and underage girls for harmful use. With girls having deep fake naked pictures shared at school etc
There is zero justification for using AI for this type of activity. |

What is the potential benefit of an app that does this? I can only see it being used maliciously by ex’s making fake revenge porn - I have thought about any potentially useful thing it could be used for and have come up completely blank. If anyone knows of one.. id love to hear it. |
