Anyone here got a Stanley cup or maybe mortgaged their home to buy a bottle of Prime energy drink? What about Beanie babies or crocs with those plastic characters all over them? Perhaps you favoured the Big mouth Billy bass singing fish.

What fads tickled your nads back in the day?

One of my partners bought me my first ever pair of crocs (fake, obvs) just last week.

And yes. They're covered in ducks. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️😂😂

The only faddy thing I can remember partaking in was Coca-Cola company branded yoyo's- Coke, Fanta, Sprite etc. If you "proved" your skills you could get a professional clear edged yoyo in lieu of the white rimmed version. I've think there's still one of each at my parents house somewhere

My younger cousin - still, she is 40 but a teenager at heart was going on and on about them and I was like wtf is a Labubu?

I walked past the shop on Market St in Manchester a couple of momths ago and the queue went round the back! Crazy! They’re ugly MF Labubus… ugly af.

Back in my time at school it was Swatch watches and Reebok trainers. You were NO ONE IF YOU DIDN’t possess them. A Trapper Keeper was not a deal breaker but highly desirable. Before NAFTA (North America Free Trade Agreement) it was damn hard to procure these- we got them usually in the black market. 😎

Same!

OP: When I was a kid, I was obsessed with Puppy In My Pocket. I guess it was like the LOL craze, but dogs in the 90's. I think it kick-started my collecting habits.

In my teens I collected Converse All Stars high tops, I had sooo many pairs. They weren't as popular or as expensive as they are now though!

Adult me collects Disney Traditions.

"Raleigh chopper bike"

Had a chopper and a burner as a young adult in the 90s during that's early 80s late 70s retro revival. With the Adidas shell toes, flaired jeans and tight Adidas t-shirt with the leaf on the front and strips on the arms.

Had some great la gears pumps in the very late 90s during my "white trash" phase. Had some white Michael Jackson ones with gold studs on and silver and pink metallic ones

Nads

I cant even remember the last time I heard that. Thank you for the wonderful reminder of a lost vocabulary.

My fad was the typical punk rock youth. Thinking you were unique and individual with dog chains, piercings and black hoodies.

I'm unique, just like everybody else

I do have a Stanley, it’s swag from work, so it’s covered in our logo.

Other than that I think the last fad I followed was having a ra-ra skirt in the 80s
