I've recently lost my partner and I'm struggling to cope with her sudden loss. Has anyone else here been through thing and how did you get through it?

I am truly sorry to hear that OP.

I don’t really have any advice other than to try and remember the good times and think about them with a smile in your heart. Talking to people will help.

I haven't experienced this type of loss. But I wanted to say that I'm extremely sorry for your loss and I really hope that you people to talk to and remember there are some decent organisations that can offer support.

Time.

Hubby died on me 18 years ago. Literally . I was 33 he was 40. Wiped out with a MI.

Time helps. Do the stages, they will come, there will be no order in them or time scale for you.

im not sure how long the grieving process is , it depends on different people and support , but there’s always something that will trigger your thoughts back to your partner

All I can say is grief has no timespan you have to take it day by day some days will be easier than others intime you learn to live again in a new way you never forget the person you carry that person in your heart it does get easier in the years to come

I lost my partner suddenly 3 years ago. There was no time to prepare for it happening. It has been a struggle, especially the first few months, though it has gotten easier. Friends helped - let them - and getting back to work. My best friend called me every morning for the first 2 weeks to make sure I was ok.

Grief is different for everyone and there are organisations around that can help with that. Get in touch with them.
