Yes, I’ve always chatted to people regardless of location. The expectation of that chat is different but it is also lovely when I travel for work as I can arrange to actually meet them.

Lots of long distance friends I chat with regularly.

All met on Kik streams during Covid, and have remained in touch since.

Most are UK based, but also are in Portugal,The Netherlands, Poland, Austria, The US, Canada, Syria, and Australia.
