Why does my instagram algorithm keep showing far-right memes?

Just to clarify I really am not right-wing. I vote Labour but am generally pretty much politically apolitical. But for some reason every 3rd reel is far-right content. Holocaust denial and anti-LGBT videos. I only use instagram to perv on celebrities I find good looking or to see what friends and family are doing, so I've no idea why it would think I'd want that content. And how do I reset it? |

It's basically rage bait.
They are driving interaction through showing people contrary views in the hope of a bite. Our time and attention is important currency.
As much as I like Instagram, especially as a platform for work content and advertising ( it's fantastic for my industry which is relatively widespread and solitary) it really has swung very far towards pushing similar material that it knows will push my buttons. |

Mine is too, especially the search window, but if I just go for a general scroll it tends to degenerate into tasty soundbites from LBC and various other spots. |
