Moving on from another thread which made me think of animals that have literally been our saviours.

Has anyone's pet alerted them to danger. Woke them up in a fire, or scared away some other animal from attacking us or our children.

You see it all over you tube but anyone have any real life stories?

Animals are just so clever it's mind boggling how they react when we could be in danger! They truly love and can protect us.

Or, is your furry friend to much of a princess and you've got no chance of any of it?

My old girl often wakes me if my blood sugars drop in the night and I sleep through the alarms. I don’t know if she’s just annoyed with the beeping or genuinely reacting to something she can sense but it’s happened often enough and she’s definitely saved me from some serious hypos now

Wow give that girl an extra treat. The things that dogs can sense is amazing. Didn't they once use a dog that could sniff out serious illness in people?

Either it's true, or I've seriously watched too much content!

My parents had a border collie that knew who the arsehole was, that tried to break into thier house several times. As she always went for them, when she saw them out on the street.

The other border collie attacked my dad, as he raised hit my mum in a fight. The stupid cunt had to go to A&E, to get his hand stitched.
