What's your favourite festival?
Jump to: Newest in thread
Watching Glastonbury and thinking how much I'd probably get lost, even if I'd been able to fork out the £400+ for a ticket. ( Still baffles me that you buy tickets before they release the majority of the line up. )
So, what are your favourite festivals? Preferably the smaller/eco friendly ones.
Peace and love,

"For me it’s glasto, but have been to Latitude for a few years which was good, still do 33,000 steps a day though 😆"
Ha ha the steps don't bother me as I'm forever dancing. I just hate the idea of watching someone like Adele headline on a Saturday night. |

Any that's cheap for me, and where the loc'd boys are.
Northampton had a really good one, the Brolly fair (UFO - umbrella fair organisation) but not sure it's happening this year as I think they got evicted from their base of operations. (Imagine my surprise).
I'd love to do shambala .. real close to me, but fuck 300 quid for a weekend ticket.
I'm basic bitch now... I buy a 4 pack and sit in the park with my speaker |

I always wanted to go to Shambala.
£300 is looking like the average price now. I fear we may lose a lot of festivals in the coming years due to the cost of putting them on.
Really enjoyed Northern Green Gathering a couple years back, was pretty cheap and eco friendly, but very small and mostly unsigned. |

Bearded Theory is good although it's just starting to get a bit 'too' big the last couple of years. Still very friendly though.
Latitude is great although expensive - It' not called Lahtitude for no reason :D |

Fair enough. Can be hit and miss with headliners. Dancing is a must! I also like all the stuff going on around around the arenas and chatting to people as they go about the festival getting more sloshed as the day falls into night! |

Absolutely love making friends, think I might volunteer to work instead. ( Don't drink ) |

The smaller eco friendly ones, where the bands and audience all walk to the venue and listen to them play acoustic sets, drink from the well and eat apples from the trees, wiping our arses on doc leaves.... Sorry suns shining and made me a bit doolally... Im afraid I don't believe in eco friendly at all, it's a misnomer, unless doing marginally less harm is considered eco friendly..
But been to some pretty good smaller festivals, bit more intimate and less Industrial. Still just as droogy as the big ones which I'm always amazed they don't let the sniffer dogs run around. |

Volunteering is a good idea, I’ve thought about doing that too. Love the vibes of festivals and seeing people letting their hair down and Baps out, of course…😘 |
