"Not me but my friend had so many bad side affects she had to come off it.
Good luck to those having success but I wouldn't touch it
What side effects did your friend have?
Mrs" constant migraines, pains in the stomach and constant diarrhea |

The jab was a factor in my cousin's death with total organ failure..
Really bad side effects which aren't apparent when you are on the jab only when off it. People taking these jabs need their head testing.. My friend is a top doctor in Brighton and has extensive information as to why these jabs are no good... |

You may get some gastro intestinal issues. If they are bearable stick with it they won't last long. I'm on ozempic and have dropped 20 kg easier than I have ever before. But it is something most people have to be on for life to keep the weight off. I'm diabetic so will be on it for life anyway to control my diabetes.
But it's amazing. It stops the food noise and keeps you fuller for longer. We don't know what the long term effects are but diabetes and obesity are so harmful to our health that most people think it will be mitigated.
Oprah is looking incredible on it. |

I know a few people on it and they’ve all had great results. The only real problem most of them have is they haven’t changed their eating habits so once they come off it they’ll put the weight back on. One got headaches but electrolytes seemed to fix that problem.

Yep , if you want to lose weight and maintain being healthy then hit the gym..
People on these jabs will have a lifetime of pain ahead, if they live to feel it.. Big money spinner for the pharmaceutical sector, and people literally paying to kill themselves. Only one winner in the long run, it took my cousins life, don't let it take yours.. |

Drinking 6 litres of water a day keeps you full, and its free, and healthy.
Most people on these death jabs weren't drinking anywhere near 7 litres of water a day.. Im on my 6th litre of water today and just about to have my 1st meal of the day.. Mind blowing lol |

What is your evidence? I'm sorry for your cousins death but as only 82 deaths have been attributed to these types of medicines he was horribly unlucky to be one of them. Every drug can cause death. Aspirin causes 3000 deaths a year. As always you need to weigh up the pros and cons. Diabetes was killing me but I now have it under control |

This is the issue, perhaps some way of demonstrating changing eating habits for a period of time before the nhs handing them out would be a good idea otherwise what’s the plan have people stay on them forever?
A prime example is my niece who is in the process of getting them prescribed yet she has done absolutely nothing to attempt to shift the weight herself, eats nothing but pizza, kebab, Chinese ect, drinks 50 red bulls a day, only works 2 days a week spends the rest alternating between sleeping and eating. Surely she should have to demonstrate some form of self control before being given them ?
Obviously paying private is a different story |

Ozempic ie yes but montjaro is licensed for weight loss. Excess weight kills too. Like everything you have to weigh up the risks with the benefits. |

The NHS control who is prescribed pretty tightly. You need to have underlying health issues caused by being overweight and also see a dietician before you even get near to an NHS prescription.
Also, this drug suppresses your appetite, unless you change your eating habits you won't lose weight. The drug itself doesnt make you lose weight. |

Ah that’s good to know mate, as nasty as it sounds I hope she is refused it since she has made zero effort whatsoever to shift it herself why should the nhs give her it |

If your going to claim this to try and scare people off it, maybe provide some peer reviewed medical evidence.

Most overweight people have tried diets and the like many times. This isn't a magic bullet but it really helps cutting the food noise. You still have to eat right and exercise but it helps all of that. |

Our little world of Kinky Fuckery in Durham |
Both myself and hubster have taken the injections.
Hubster had a little nausea the first morning after taking the injection.
I have had no side effects at all and I'm currently taking 12.5mg injections.
We know a lot of people taking them. A few have had nausea and headaches. Most have been fine.
Remember to still eat healthy, as you won't feel hungry.
We have a protein shake with fruit in for breakfast as don't feel hungry in the morning.
Happy to answer any questions you have x |

Coroner's verdict was complete organ failure which was the cause of death..
Now before the Jabs her health , although she was tubby/obese she was far from huge.. Her body was seen by 3 separate pathologists because the 1st 2 was inconclusive.. They shipped a pathologist in from America the 3rd one and presented the other 2 with his findings and more extensive knowledge regarding key ingredients in the jabs. All 3 then confirmed fatal high levels of hydrochloric acid within her gut , and the active ingredient tirzepatide caused kidney failure, additional gut problems, inflammation of pancreas and thyroid enlargement...
The family have spent over 30 grand so far on legal fees , as it will eventually go to supreme court... |

The fact they are taking it to the highest court in the uk (and no evidence) lol , you are aware under legal binding through the courts any legal information given out will be detrimental to the case and thrown out?
Yes its a lot of money but when there is concrete evidence as to the reason why their daughter died they want justice and protect the others taking these death jabs.. Look at the case in Scotland with the woman who died taking these death sticks, still going on a year later.. Again, proven the jabs were a significant factor in her death.. |

You’ve literally been in it for 4 weeks and just an FYI, not everybody has the same experience/body.
You’re asking your body to do something against what is natural, it’s never going to 100% safe.
Luckily I don’t have to rely on this sort of thing, very much looked after myself with a good diet and lots of exercise. But I can worry about others and I will. |

You do realise that some people are taking this medication as prescribed by their GP/NHS? You do realise it is perfectly safe to take and is licenced by the MHRA?
Any risks are absolutely miniscule compared to the benefits it brings to a great many people, that's fact. It wouldn't be available on the NHS otherwise.
Bully for you that your method of maintaining a healthy weight works, for many others it doesn't so maybe take you ill informed internet nonsense and worry elsewhere, you just upset people.

I’ve had such a good experience with it.
I would recommend eating little and often. Even if you’re not hungry. The worst thing you can do is not eat. The nausea is real 😩
I think the main thing you can do is to train your mind to think differently about food choices. There’s no point in losing all the weight to then come off mounjaro and start eating shite again.
Use it as a tool to help with better food choices and don’t be dependent on it.
My inbox is open if you need any support!
Wishing you luck 🍀 |

I think the main thing you can do is to train your mind to think differently about food choices. There’s no point in losing all the weight to then come off mounjaro and start eating shite again.
Use it as a tool to help with better food choices and don’t be dependent on it.

My friend collapsed and ended up in hospital with a blood clot. It should probably be a last resort and not a quick fix, I don't think most people realise how powerful these drugs are and also the fact a lot of the 'weight loss' can come in the form of muscle loss and from bone density decreases.
Keep your protein intake high which should be standard anyway and be careful. |

I had a gastric sleeve in November 23. Lost 75 percent of my excess weight and got stuck. Started mounjaro and I’ve lost it all plus more now. No issues.
I jabbed at night but because it slows your transit down I would be really bloated in the morning. Certain foods may make you feel nauseous. My portions were very small anyway ( I eat 7-900 calories a day still) so I can’t really tell you about restriction but the other side of mounjaro is that it improves the way your body responds to blood sugars and I think that’s probably what got me out of the stall. |

hubs was on this jab when it first rolled out in the nhs in 6 months lost loads but it gave him sever pancreatic and put him in critical care for weeks because on top of that he suffered 3 heart attacks whiles in critical care.. hes had another 2 since ... a real bad time all now documented as side affect of that jab as they are finding out ... most have small side affects some get some real bad ones tho rare or were rare |

Just on to my 3rd pen, so far no had any serious side effects.
This pen is a 2.5mg but next one will be 5mg. I only set out to lose a stone and a half, I've lost the stone but the final 7lb is proving a bit of a stubborn fucker (hence the jump up).
I look better in a photo and my clothes fit better too. Can only speak for me but so far no negatives at all.
Feel free anyone to DM if you wish anymore advice - i don't want to tie up the thread.

Hey, it really depends on the person.
For every success story there is a horror one. I'd just ask do you really need it or can you fix the issue in another manner? |

A lot of what im seeing are just lazy ass people wanting a quick fix and havent time to go to a gym but can sit in front of a television for hours on end..
These havent been labelled the death jabs for nothing..
I wonder how many people on this thread will still be here in a year or 2 from now.. And if they are, what damage has been done to their body's.. |

"Once you start on this or any other weight loss drug is it a lifelong thing? "
Nope. Generally people have a target in mind and once reached, they'll reduce dosage gradually until stopping completely.
The point is that by the time they have reached their target weight they have completely changed their relationship with food and will eat more healthier to maintain the loss.
Also, once you're at a healthy BMI you won't be prescribed it anyway.
Remember, this drug doesn't make you lose weight, you still need to change your eating habits to achieve that. |

You do realise that obesity is a disease, a medical condition?
What you suggest is like telling someone suffering from depression to give themselves a shake 🙄 |

Yeah. It's just like that
Indeed it is."
The majority of people taking it aren't even classed as obese, they just want to lose a bit of weight.
Not agreeing with it obviously means I don't agree with anything and deem depression to be on the same scale as someone that wants to lose a few pounds.
I realise you want to come off as the intelligent caring persona, maybe try not labelling anyone a cunt that doesn't agree with you to start off with.

Basically yes. Some can come off it and keep the weight off but most won't. As I'm diabetic this will be just one of the medications I will take for life but as it is helping me control my glucose level I have already been able to drop.one of them completely. My daughter is using it to lose weight as she is obese and well probably be on some dose of this for life. But so much better for health than obesity which is also for life in most obese people. She is self funding right now too. |

I haven't labeled anyone anything, them you come out with that??? Dear me.
You clearly have no idea what you actually need to do to be prescribed this. You have to be over a BMI of 30 to start with and that's a bit hard to fake.

I think if you're diabetic then yes it could be a lifelong thing. It's a diabetic drug afterall.
I don't think it would be possible to be on this for life for purely weight loss reasons. Once you drop below a certain BMI you'll find it increasingly difficult to be prescribed it.
You can drop down to a maintenance dosage but if your BMI continues to drop then you could run into difficulty. |

I think it will be a constantly moving picture and as you say, if the savings that are predicted are actually realised then you may see it become more easily available with less restrictions. |

My missus has so far gone 2 months without a single period on it (4 months since starting on lowest dose). Tests all negative so definitely not pregnant. Her usual extremely high sex drive has plummeted, she has major mood swings and also bloated right up and not lost weight. Have begged her to come off it, she wants to continue. Another friend was complete opposite. |

I've been on it just over 2 month and lost over 2 stone.
I don't use it because I'm lazy, I struggle with sleeping and would eat through the night out of boredom.
Mounjaro has helped with junk food cravings and I'm able to commit to intermittent fasting. Taking the injection alone is not enough to lose weight, I still have to exercise and make better eating choices.
I don't see what the problem is if you're willing to pay. |

That’s not strictly true, I only eat once a day and don’t eat badly, I am on 3 different types of medication (for anxiety) that make me put on weight 🙁

It might facilitate a deficit, making it easier to achieve, seemingly naturally, through suppression of those elements you mentioned. Typically people increase their dose levels, which could help to sustain that deficit for longer than someone might generally do, without it. |

I'm a type 2 diabetic and I've been on them for about 7 months now. No side effects but I do know people who have felt sick on them for the first week or two but their Dr gave them anti sickness tablets to combat this.
I've lost 3 stone but I cannot do any for of exercise as such due to having failed back surgery due to nerve damage which affects my legs and upper body. So I piled the weight on and this injection has been a life saver for me.

Sounds like you have done zero research to be fair. I chat with people using Mounjaro every day, a social group of around 80 who are from a wide range or backgrounds and ages both male and femal.
None have had any serious side effects, and over the last 12 months all have lost weight, gained confidence, feel healthier. All have had a love/hate relationship with diets which simply haven't worked for them.
My wife has lost 6 stone in 12 months, it really has changed her life for the better. I am now on the same journey and already feeling the benefits and lost over a stone.
People who bad mouth this treatment do so almost always from a position of ignorance, and why some want to spead BS scare stories is beyond me. |

It's pretty difficult to get a prescription if you don't have a BMI of over 30 for that very reason.
I dare say people who really shouldn't be on it can get hold of it via varios deceptive means, but I'd be surprised if it was widespread.

Because just like 'Victosa' there is not an endless supply so if its is being bought by people to just lose a few pounds to make them look better on the beach then it'll become more difficult for pharmacists to keep up with being able to supply patients with NHS prescriptions.
I was on 'Victosa' before i was prescribed 'Mountjaro' and this is exactly what happened. |

"Yes you can with a private prescription, i know several people who have done this for vanity not necessity. "
Well if they want to do that, it's much harder now.
Having gone through the online prescription process with two different suppliers in the last 2 months, they require photo evidence of being overweight above 30BMI, evidence of your weight in video form (ie scales), and other suppliers also require an actual call with one of their pharmacists.
The rules/process was tightened up about 6 months ago due to the reasons you suggest.

What is your evidence? I'm sorry for your cousins death but as only 82 deaths have been attributed to these types of medicines he was horribly unlucky to be one of them. Every drug can cause death. Aspirin causes 3000 deaths a year. As always you need to weigh up the pros and cons. Diabetes was killing me but I now have it under control"
Very good point very well made. ANY drugs can cause death in people. Some only have to eat peanuts, never mind drugs!! |

So just to give everyone an idea of my experiences on MJ, here is where I am up to so far!
I started on 26/05, so I'm just over 7 weeks in. I did the first 4 weeks on 2.5mg and I've had 3 x 5mg so far.
My starting weight was 16st 2lbs (102.7kg). No 6 weeks in I have lost 2 st 5lbs (14.8kg) and weigh in at pretty much 13 stone 12. My BMI has dropped from 32.8 to 27.8.
I feel much better. I've dropped sizes in all of my clothes, feel like I have more energy, I don't get hangry any more, and I generally look and feel a lot healthier.
Side effects have been minimal for me. I read a lot before I started and had some worries about living with toilet issues etc, but the only things I experienced were slight headaches and broken sleep when I started. These were due to the fact I wasn't drinking anywhere near enough water and now I am back up to a reasonable amount and taking an electrolyte tablet each day I'm golden.
Cost wise, I'm spending around £110-120pm on the injections depending on the dosage using discount codes where possible or referrals, and I can categorically confirm that I save more on food than I spend on the injections. If cost is something that is putting you off starting you really should keep this in mind.
What will it be like when I want to come off? I don't know. I have found myself making healthier choices when out and about with work, picking the food which isn't so bad for me, only eating what I need and not clearing up the plate, turning down the pint with dinner. Hopefully these are the things that will stay if I stop using the medications.
Personally for me, it's working great and doing exactly what I want it to. While it might not be for everyone, and everbody will likely have a different experience with regards to results and side effects, I think it's definitely worth a look into.
If anyone wants to know more, or is looking to try it and wants a referral code which will get them £40 off then feel free to slide into my DMs. |

If anyone wants to know more, or is looking to try it and wants a referral code which will get them £40 off then feel free to slide into my DMs."

I have lost 20lbs since May and I haven’t really gone mad dieting. Just making some sensible adjustments. This is important so that when start to come off it, you have retrained yourself to eat much better.
I get the manjouro from Asda as it is by far the cheapest. I used Voy initially but they were £80 more expensive.
The side effects I have are a rumbling tummy, the runs if I eat poorly, as in too much fatty foods. Probably my worst side effect is the burps.
Having said that, it’s well worth it for the results.
Good luck! |

"Once you start on this or any other weight loss drug is it a lifelong thing?
Basically yes. Some can come off it and keep the weight off but most won't. As I'm diabetic this will be just one of the medications I will take for life but as it is helping me control my glucose level I have already been able to drop.one of them completely. My daughter is using it to lose weight as she is obese and well probably be on some dose of this for life. But so much better for health than obesity which is also for life in most obese people. She is self funding right now too.
Yes it will be interesting to see what nhs policy will be. This drug will save the nhs billions especially if it proves successful in treating alcoholism also." my BMI is 22.9 and they allowed me to go up to 15mg because my goal has been 20 since I started it. I have to enter video calls to get my script though because my photos aren’t proof enough as my waist height ratio in comparison to my apparent heavy set has me in the abnormally slim category apparently. Just tell that to my legs. |
