I'm working on a project where I need a selection of 2 word phrases, each must begin with "Top....."
For example, "Top Banana", "Top Dog", "Top Gear" etc.
I'd like to invite inspiration for more "Top"s.
Rules are as follows, must be family friendly, must be familiar to British people, must not be offensive and must not risk copyright infringement.
Thus, I've ruled out "Top Dollar" (American) "Top Gear" (copyright) and "Top Gun" (could be mistaken for offensive).
Do you have any fantastic suggestions?
Thankyou in advance, and have a top day! |

"I think there are very limited options here
Top man was a shop so that's out. "
I agree, and so too Top Shop is out.
It really needs to be a "Top *object*". Something which can be represented by an icon or graphic (which is why I've so far chosen hat, banana and dog)
And familiar to people who typically live in Britain. (which is why I've rejected Dollar)
So far, I've settled on Top Hat, Top Dog and Top Banana.
I need another 2. Top Marks is in the running, but it's very not perfect.
Thanks for the suggestions so far everyone!

Yeah, some great ideas coming through, thankyou very much.
I like top cat, (easy to create a graphic or icon)
Similarly, top bloke, but I'm not certain.
A graphic icon immediately springs to mind for both top soil and top plop, but it's perhaps not family friendly. Great ideas though.
I do like Top Mop.
Top Bunk is obvious, but how to create a simple graphic or icon.
Top shelf is a great idea.~
Top Trumps = potential copyright and Top Trump = more symbolic of America than Britain
Top Secret, I do like that one, it's gone onto my list! Simple graphic, just a question mark. Perfect. |
