Hi
Docs have tried with with a few meds.
A few weeks ago trying Tamsulosin under the brand name Contiflo XL
My BP is often higher end of normal, eg
135/85 - now at rest it can be as low as 107/67 - but usally about 115/75 but when sat for a while keeps droping.
I'm aware I get even my faint when getting up from bed/sofa and from beneding down so I slow the process.
I've started taking meds at night, ie Contiflo xl 400mcg one tablet - bit better.
However, at times when walking standing feel faint for a few seconds. Been taking these for 4 weeks
Anyone else feel like that?
I take not other blood pressure meds as I have normal BP. |

I take Amlodipine and i feel dizzy/faint sometimes too, especially standing up suddenly or changing direction quickly.... never sure if it's just the meds or my blood pressure has gone too low 🤷♂️ |

Amlodopine is designed to lower blood pressure. So it's both |

Yeah sorry i know that 😅, I take it for hypertension. It feels like it drops way to suddenly sometimes from seating positions, that's all i meant.
Like you say it's probably both

Speak to your gp
If you're having these feelings and you drive it could be very dangerous for you |

I don't want to scare you but I actually had a serious adverse reaction to Tamsulosin and ended up in hospital. Its now recorded on my official record.
I take Amlodipine and Losartan.
My blood pressure is still above normal but after increasing the Amlodipine 2 months ago from 5 to 10mg it not as high as it was.
Fainting spells do need attention asp. Good luck |
