What wine is a good for someone who hasn't tried it before? Not too much fan over an overly alcoholic taste, ideally looking for something that tastes like juice but will get me "wine d*unk" |

A lot of people like Prosecco I know sparkly isn’t for everyone
Go to a good wine shop and they’ll let you taste a few after describing what you want
Definitely go to a pairing event where you can try different cheeses etc to see what goes with the wine
I’m a red wine and cheese kinda guy
One stop wine shop and others have a web questionnaire to make suggestions |

What does it taste like? Is it a good wine d*unk wine?
I tried wine like 10 years ago, so I'd of been like 18 and didn't like it, I'm hoping my taste buds have changed... |

Just to add… there are a bunch of really lovely people there - in my experience you have a great attitude to Wine on are involved in able to match peoples individual taste to wines which they have a good selection of.
They have wines to suit most people’s pockets too
They have time they have experience and have a very good retail service attitude

I like wine myself but cannot honestly say that I’ve experienced anything that really tastes fruity in the true sense. The sweet wines just taste sweet and not fruity.
Arrogant Frog Orange Wine and Sancerre white wine taste good to my palate, but they’re a long way from fruity.
There are some good fruit ciders out there that you might prefer. |

Fruit cider is what I would usually drink, so I ideally would like a wine that tastes like a dark fruits 😂😂 yes I could get a dark fruits but I'd like to try wine

If you're looking for fizz then I'd suggest demi sec! Demi sec means semi sweet as opposed to "brut"=dry. Sainsbury's do a demi sec champagne for about £25 but I realise that's expensive to some.
Prosecco (made using the tank method/different to champagne) is much cheaper but I'd highly recommend finding a DOCG one as opposed to DOC, the quality is much better for a few quid more in most cases. The 'German' supermarkets both do an excellent DOCG Prosecco example for £10 if I remember correctly  |

From my experience a lot of people will find a type of wine they prefer and others they will be less keen on. I'd recommend trying different types and then exploring more of the ones you prefer. |

They're great yes, but unless you buy more than 6 bottles you're not taking advantage of their 'offer'.
I use them because they have exclusive stuff to them that they can sell a third less than it would be elsewhere. So you really do need to know your wine, or have a vague knowledge of what you like to take advantage in a majestic imo
So I don't necessarily agree it's good to start there |

'Good' should be what you enjoy.
Not the tired snobbery of vintage and price tag.
Blind taste tests are famous for celebrating the underdog.
I find most wines too tannic and bitter.
It can be refreshing to add ice and a splash of lemonade or similar. I'm not a fan of sodawater for a spritzer |
