Sure! Here's a friendly and engaging reply you can post:
Nice! Curious to hear how it turns out. I've used ChatGPT a few times myself for messaging—sometimes it really helps to get past that blank screen moment. Let us know if it gets a response!
Let me know if you'd like a more humorous, formal, or casual tone. |

"People use it for forum comments too.
Yep. And it's so obvious. Painfully so."
Absolutely agree — it really stands out when someone uses it for forum comments. There's this overly polished, robotic tone that just doesn’t match the flow of natural conversation. It’s like reading a customer service email dropped into a casual thread. Hopefully as these tools evolve, people will start using them more thoughtfully — or at least take a minute to edit the output so it sounds human.
Would you like a version with more humor, sarcasm, or a different tone? |

I don't use it. I feel like I'm missing out.

Is exactly what ChatGPT would say. ⬆️"
Nah, YOLO, as his username tells you, is often behind trends. Latest fads. Years, decades behind them. |

Oh dear, if that's as good as it gets, we're all doomed. |

A less digitally enhanced one would be wonderful, you can do it. Write a so-so music pun, job done. |

I prefer "classic" to "behind", thank you. Preppy never goes out of fashion. |

I can't think of a better way to be disappointed when I meet someone than to realise their entire personality during our online interactions was actually an AI chatbot 🥴
What are you going to do in person, just say "hang on, let me just run that question through ChatGPT and I'll give you a response in a moment" |

Although maybe you should change your username from "You only live once" to "Fear of missing out". 🤭 |

"The only things I've ever seen ChatGPT write have been shit.
"
It has no innate human creativity, so you feel something is missing. Anything creative is essentially "st0len" at present.
However, it is very good at knocking out technical documents, writing code, searching through information and extracting the pertinent details, etc. which is really the sort of thing it should be used for at this point.
I use it quite a bit, for tasks that need to be done that I'd rather not do, or are time-consuming. |

When I called someone out for using ChatGPT to compose a message to me (they'd left the opening 'here's a message you can use...' in their copy and pasted missive to me), they denied it, but subsequent messaging strangely changed to just single 4 word sentences instead of a couple of flowery paragraphs.
I do wonder if they ever thought about what would happen if their wonderful conversational skills (via ChatGPT) hadn't sufficiently developed if we ever met. |
