I Met my first love on my first day of school age 5, I was mute and scared but she took my hand and led me to to the sand pit, she was there for me every day from then. We were best friends for years and got together finally at 15. I was terrified to tell her I loved her but she took my hand and told me first.
We were so happy together for 3 years. Found ourselves in each other. We went to different universities and after visiting me in Nottingham she drove back to Leeds and never made it home. She was 18.
She's tattooed on my neck as we swore to take on the world together. I stand by that even now and make sure we have as much fun as possible. She knew me better than anyone and I still miss her every day. I never got to know what the future held. What I did get was perfection right up until I lost it.

I wear my heart on my sleeve now because I know if I did back then I could've loved her for longer. She gave me my courage and I get to treasure that. Never miss an opportunity to show love. That's what she was from day one. |
