Will you be camping near water? If so, you can use some rocks to create a little cooler if you have no where to store perishable items (that are wrapped, obviously) or drinks you would like to have cold.

Breakfast/brunch - Sausages, bacon, eggs, breadrolls/wraps, or porridge

salad stuff, fresh fruit, fresh fruit juice, milk, condiments,

pasta/rice, frozen meals such as bolognese or curry or chilli - take it frozen and let it defrost in cool box then just cook up rice or pasta. Visit local butcher or farm shop for fresh meat.

Take snacks such as sharing bags of crisps, nuts and sweets rather than chocolate.

Have an amazing time

Mrs

Roasted Chocolate and marshmallow banana split

Ingredients. 1 large banana 3 or four marshmallows, and a couple of squares of milk chocolate.

Don't peel the banana. Lay it on its back and slice lengthways but don't pierce the skin at the bottom. Split it open and scoop a little flesh out of each side. Stuff with a mix of pink and white marshmallows and broken bits of chocolate. Wrap tightly sith doubled aluminium foil and seal tightly. Lay it on the embers of the fire and roast it in the coals for two to 3 minutes a side.

Take it out and allow to cool until safe enough to handle. Unwrap and scoop out contents to eat. Best served with a bowl of vanilla ice cream

Campfire cones are great

Take empty ice cream cones, fill them with with chocolate, marshmallows, strawberries, bananas etc.

Wrap them in tinfoil and put them over the bbq, open fire etc for a couple of minutes

We take peanut butter, good for energy boost when out walking.

Coffee sachets are also good as a back up, in case you've run out of fresh milk.

Corn on the cob with gorgeous spicy dip to smother it with

Banana boat in tin foil

Loaded chilli cheese fries just put frozen chips in a foil pocket with oven spray to stop sticking, whack in the embers and then top with whatever load you fancy
