Busily cooking away when I noticed Alexa flashing a yellow light. Being a bit of a technical dinosaur, I asked my lovely kitchen buddy, Alexa, what the intermittent yellow light meant.

"It means you have unread notifications", she said helpfully. Then she asked me if I wanted to hear my notifications - she's a helpful soul, bless her.

"Yes please", I said while stirring my curry (NOT a euphemism ).

"You've got an Amazon delivery out today", she told me perkily, "including ... SEXY LINGERIE" !!!!

Thank god my daughter wasn't in the kitchen! Could have been worse, I suppose ...

Don't buy your nipple clamps, whips or dildoes from Amazon...

My Alexa in my living room shows on screen what is due to be delivered and suggestions, my daughter in-law walked in just after it showed something that I wouldn't have wanted her to see. I've never turned the screen off so quick in my life, never really noticed it before but I'm very wary of it now 😳

Haha! I was almost outed by Alexa myself. You can actually ask her to not disclose the contents of deliveries. Also, if you turn on whisper mode and whisper requests to her she responds in a whisper too - that can be quite useful!

There’s a reason Alexa at home is connected to my husbands account and not mine

You do realise Alexa, and your smart mobile listens to all your conversations and advertising preferences that you get on fb etc. are based on them..
