Moss grows on the north facing side of trees.
You can work out the direction you need to get too from that(roughly) |

This was interesting enough to Google, and apparently it's not something you can rely on if lost. Although moss primarily grows on the north side of trees, rocks etc, it can also grow basically anywhere. But I guess if you're totally lost you may as well give it a try! |
