It can feel weird but it's not necessarily a weird thing to do. If you're new to the area then there's no better way to take a leap of faith and make some new contacts, create a fresh circle of friends.

Some swinging parties will have carefully curated attendance lists, so those invited will be welcome and it will be fine. Clubs have nights when men are welcome and it's standard. There will be people who are open to getting to know people like you.

At a vanilla pub, definitely try and be at your local, it is always a fun night out, at a lifestyle event, we always try to greet the new single men we see because it takes balls to attend a party on your own.
