I hate getting my nails done at a salon, but I can see why other people would like it. I prefer to do it at home in peace.
Currently mine are a mix of dark purple with silver spiderwebs, orange with jack o lantern faces, and neon green 💜🧡💚 |

You absolutely can. (Welcome to the dark side etc)
Absolute base requirements: nail file, cuticle pusher, base coat, top coat (look for quick dry, sometimes QDTC, to make your life easier), colour.
(This is lacquer. I don't fuck with gel. I'm not criticising those who do, just I don't)
Thin layers until opacity or desired effect. Firm cleanup brush and acetone (very very rigid concealer brushes) if you get it on your skin or into your cuticles (never get gel on skin. Can create/exacerbate allergies).
Cuticle oil for moisturising around your nails and avoiding hangnails, cuticle balm can help with pushing cuticles down, cuticle remover can help get rid of excessive cuticle (be careful though).
Takes longer than at a salon, but it's perfectly possible. |

I love love maintained nails/ hands on both men and ladies I'm actually qualified to do gel nails now and only really do them on myself. I do it because I find it therapeutic, I enjoy the quiet, the concentration and love seeing the end result. I think there is nothing nicer than hands that have been looked after kinks x |

I went ages without getting my nails done due to work. Changed jobs and now do them every 3 wks. Its amazing how better I feel with them done..... enjoy your pampering.... im getting inked tomorrow |

I love having nice nails, and have them done maybe every 4 weeks. It's a little treat for myself and always makes me feel good, and I get lots of compliments in work about them.
I tend to go for neutral colours. |
