Is walking overrated? It's 2025 ffs. I just want to go to the shops on my sofa, while eating crisps and grunting at people to get me the stuff I want!
I thought we'd at least be nipping about in flying cars by now. My inner child is absolutely furious. |

I think roller skates are the way to go. Not those poxy “in line” skates but the ones with 4 wheels.
It makes getting about more fun, slightly quicker than walking (if you give it a bit of welly) and also develops your balance, which is awesome for old age.

"Try early mornings op. I do that twice a week down seafront. Have a coffee and watch the sea. Bliss."
Ditto. Pier to pier, at this time of year, is also fun. The crashing sea state, horizontal rain, ploughing through the wind like on the north face of the Eiger. Followed by a pie and a pint. Perfection. |

I think rocking up on a motorised sofa is better. Mind you, you can eat crisps and rollerskate.
