It depends:
If an indivdual relies on internal validation, it is irrelevant how many "beauty contests" there are.
If they rely on external validation, then they'll get caught up in as many "beauty contests" as their ego requires.

There will always be someone hotter than you. That’s just the way the cookie crumbles. I’m sure Jennifer Aniston felt a bit upset at being usurped by Angelina Jolie. Does that mean Jennifer Anniston was a minger? Of course not!
But you know what, there IS more to attractiveness than having a banging body. There really is.
But there will always be those who prefer the body beautiful and the drop dead gorgeous over the quirky, the interesting, the funny, the kind (you get the drift). And that’s ok.
Just don’t let it define YOU. Embrace your looks, embrace your body. You’re a long time dead.
And don’t forget. Comparison is the thief of all joy.
