Once upon a time, not very long ago, in a place not so far from here we took our young grand daughter to the local park play area.
She had a great time playing but came back to us, whispering in my ear, grandad, why has that man got his head on upside down?
I looked, as discreetly as I could, and, sure enough it did look like an upside down head - thick bushy, but tidy, beard, tache, facial hair - and a totally bald head.
I tried to explain, as best I could to a 6 year old, about beards, haircuts and fashion, but she was far from convinced.
I hope his mummy loves him, she said, and was off to play some more.
And no, I don’t understand it either! |
