The Lace Market area is good for a few relaxed drinks in more upmarket surroundings and as others have said Purple Mamba swing club opposite the Trent Bridge cricket ground is a good night. If you do venture down that way you're close to West Bridgford which is also a good spot for a good few nice bars and restaurants. I tend to avoid Nottingham City centre as it's too much hassle and full of obnoxious pissed up students etc. |

It’s not that bad!
But yes, WB has a nice gentrified vibe, also Sherwood is really nice now. There are some cool little bars, two very nice craft beer joints if you are into craft beer you must visit craftworks, and on the corner of the Winchester I think it’s called the Winchester is a very nice karaoke bar. |
