Are you average?
Don't fit in the slim girl appreciation threads or the curvy appreciation ones. Where do we go!
Not quite curvy, not quite slim. This is the place for us!

From a dude perspective, I have to say I think some women aspire to this slim woman stereotype, guys prefer women with curves in all the right places.
So don't be insecure about your shape, whatever it is. Own it.

Average is good, infact it’s more normal and realistic. Well in terms of figures, but everyone has something about them that makes them more than just an average person |

"Im pretty average looking ive got curves but also have a massive arse a lot of women do have curves even if slim.
From what little I can see you look like you have a good curve to you "
I have a good knowledge of Photoshop!
I wouldn't describe myself as curvy or slim. But what is wrong with average anyway?

Average is just that. Normal.
Our friends, neighbours, family, parents are average shaped for their age and lifestyle.
Youth has it's advantages, in that we start off with slender ,fit bodies. But we all eventually look like the genetic mix of our parents, average shaped people.
An average shaped man or woman, can be definitely above or below average, depending on education , charisma, presentation, etc.
It's the thinking brain in the average body, that attracts me. |

If average means most common yes.
While I think we all have something special about us we'd be kidding ourselves if we imagined we're unique |

"Curvy is least helpful and most overused descriptive on Fab.
As is athletic..."
Agree how meany list as athletic but could run any distance. Athletic to me means fit and stamina. An athletic cyclest is a diferant shape to an Olympic gymnastic.

As a dude, I have to say men prefer all kinds of different things. There's no single male preference. But agree with the bit about owning what you've got!
Btw, I like your 'average' body, Raven. Nothing wrong with average - male or female - most of us are. That's what makes it the average! |

We’re product of TV ads and movies..brainwashed into thinking beauty comes in a very specific shape. But take a stroll through an old museuma.. every woman in those paintings? Curvy. Back then, curves were a sign of wealth. Fast forward to today, and mainstream media’s obsession with hourglasses and six-packs has left a lot of us feeling insecure about our own bodies. Funny how history and culture can have such different taste. |

I would consider myself average also.
I've gained weight due to medication/lack of exercise.
Average in looks dept.
Average body.
But average is ok with me. I know I'm an outstanding human being |

Probably. I generally consider myself curvy because I have curves but I've frequently been told I'm not big enough for the curvy posts and they're for plus size/BBWs. I wouldn't consider myself slim though. |

up a bit, right a bit...that's the spot |
Most of us are average, and I'm happy being in that group.
I have my body type down as curvy as I have an hourglass figure...to me, curvy is curvy, regardless of size. It's not often I agree with anything American, but perhaps mid-size would be a better option to have on here.
If people are made to pick a body category when they set their profile up, the majority will go for the one that they perceive to be the most flattering yet still within the boundaries of truth. At the end of the day, pictures should tell you more than a forced choice of descriptor. |

I find the labels confusing.
At one point this year I was slim, or maybe athletic, or maybe average?? Definitely a big bigger now, but maybe not enough to be curvy??
I'm just not sure, and I worry about false advertising in our profile. 😱🤣 |

I'm going to buck the trend on here: I'm not a fan of "average". I much prefer "mediocre" because they garner fewer disingenuous compliments.
At least with mediocre you know what you're getting. 🩶🙂 |

A wise old woman once said that we don't need to label everything and there are too many labels.
Obviously a complete tangent to this thread with no relevance at all but it's early and I thought f*ck it, why not mention that beautiful wisdom? |

Like most of the ladies on here, you might fit into average as far as the Fab body type pigeon hole but you're far from average |

That's fab though. The average woman in real life goes up a few numbers once they join fab.
It wasn't that serious, just you see slim/curvy women threads but not average!

Us fellas love real women. Capitalise on this. You're in a winners section. "

There's lots of threads saying about petite or larger ladies, and not many who have an average figure. So its a nice change.
Im average in lots of ways, including figure.
But im sexy to some and not to others and thats what matters for me.

I think it's how people carry themselves in their posture and presentation that turns people heads for both men and women. "
Well yeah obviously, it is what most people's bodies are. |

"Slightly off topic but I was reading an article the other day that said the average UK bra size is a 36E 🤯"
Ohh, AI confirmed that*- though it was quoting The Sun!
.
.
* Well actually it said "The average UK bra size in 2025 is generally cited as hovering around 36D or 36DD, showing a trend towards larger cup sizes, though some sources suggest a 34E (UK) as equivalent to the popular 34DD in the US, with figures shifting due to better fitting and body changes. |
