How sedentary are you? The more you move and burn energy the more you'll need food.
I ask because things like nuts and oil are high calorie, but it's all about balance really and just throwing more in your diet will work but isn't for the best.
The sensible answer is little by little and making sure you eat small meals often.

Eat more healthy fats, like butter, full fat greek yogurt, oils, nuts, chicken thighs rather than chicken breast, oily fish and red meats with natural fat on/in if you are able too.
Moving more will increase your appetite, so you will naturally want more to eat.
Rather than 3 larger meals a day, eat 5 or 6 smaller meals.
Track your food

I struggled with this for years so I understand the pain and annoyance at no one else understanding 🫠
Once I started tracking everything I realised that even though I was ‘bad’ foods I simply wasn’t eating enough, I only eat when I am hungry but a few years ago I could go days in between full meals and was replying on black coffee to get my through. I had to train my brain to be hungry as I had suppressed the desire for so long. I am still not perfect but I certainly eat more often and make sure I’m eating lots of healthy fats and proteins.
Inbox is always open to discuss more as I get it’s quite personal 🙂 |

You can use a "mass builder" i use serious mass from optimum nutrition for training. Its 1200 cals and 50g protein. Use it as a supplement, Aim to have around 5 or 6 meals a day. It alk depends on your metabolism too, everyone is differant, you just need to find the sweet spot so to speak. Id also track your food intake, my fitness pal is a good free app to use. But i will say it isnt easy to gain weight in a healthy way, especially if you have a high metabolism, im sure ppl will disagree with that, but i have a really high metabolism, when im bulking im on 4000 plus cals a day and it takes a good few month for me to start gaining, thats with resistence training too.... so it can be very difficult.
Good luck to you and i hope you get there. |

Actually the same thing that works in weight loss can also help in weight gain… the protein shakes
For example I absolutely adore huel black…. 400 calories and packed with all the good vitamins and minerals |

I wouldn't bother with any pre made shakes.
Just supplement diet with calorie dense foods.
15ml of oil (avocado,EVOO) choose your preferred is 135 calories and you won't even know you've eaten it.
Nuts, eggs, ouly fish, avocados, all good for bumping calories with low volume. Switch to fattier cuts of meat, chicken thighs etc.
You don't need to be in that much of a surplus to gain weight. +200 calories will give a nice steady increase. Too much and you'll just gain a lot of fat. |

"I tend to drink more calories than I eat, although I've only tracked because I want to lose some, mocha it seems is the culprit!!
A few full fat milk mochas a day will put on some lbs.
Mrs "
I do love milk and drink so much already |

I run 100 mile ultramarathons. After 12 hrs of running I have no appetite to eat but obviously need calories down the hatch to keep me going. I use weight gainer protein shakes. 400 calories per drink. Loads of flavours |

2 pints of full fat milk woukd give you an extra 700 calories a day.
A pint of yoghurt woukd be an extra 400/450cal.
Because you drink it it dosent make you feel full for long.
Its an old school way to "bulk" |
