I wonder, is there a less spoken about desire for black men (amongst brown women) because of lack of interest, or is it lack of exposure, or something else?

How are you measuring the level of desire?

Is there a survey?

some culture people desire fair skin, but not everyone is like that. It's not personal it's just a preference.

I see most people here admire black men so you have enough options if you aren't a dick

How brown? Are we talking cheap dairy milk chocolate or Bournville?

Is there a handy colour chart?

Just by seeing how often things are mentioned,

By brown I mean South Asian, South American, North African.

I often notice that if they go for anything interracial, they tend to mention white men.

I had a friend write some thesis about post colonialism & complexes of inferiority / superiority and how that might relate to that

I wondered if that had anything to do with this

Absolute nonsense. Interracial relationships are normal in Asia and Africa, which includes black men and Asian women, also vice versa. As for here in the UK, lots of Asian women date all races, which includes black men. It's multiculturalism.

Perhaps you suffer from negativity bias? Or you've been unsuccessful in finding an Asian lady. There are plenty out there.

lol I’m gonna have to agree to disagree shams.

I don’t feel bad about it, nor am I saying such attraction doesn’t exist, it’s just an observation, maybe my pool is limited, but as I said, I’m not the only one that noticed it, I have a South Asian friend that noticed the same thing, when South Asian women branch out, they USUALLY tend to go for white men BEFORE they consider black men (at least here in the UK).

Well in South America. There's millions of Black men and women. Brasil for example has the highest percentage of people with African ancestry outside of the continent.

So I'm guessing Black men aren't a rare sight in South America. And relationships are common. I assume the same is true in Asia too.

Yes. Sydney Uni published their survey findings in January 2018, but guess it is time for them to update that data.

Brazil has some of the most diverse groups of people. So many mixes. African, Asian, European, Indigenous and more.

You’re asking the wrong audience here

African ancestry doesn’t mean black. Everyone is mixed with everything, and they look that way too.

That is true. I should have been more specific. For example Aboriginal people in Australia are Black but not African.

I guess my point was... South America for example is so diverse. It has millions of Black men and women. So I can only assume that Black men do have relationships with women from South America.

In my experience I've witnessed a lot of Asian women dating black men. It's nothing new to me. And also dating white men. It depends on attraction, proximity and opportunity. There are Asian women on here looking for black men. So it's a jackpot for you. Shoot your shot mate.

Everyone is looking for someone. There's ladies and couples who specifically seek out Black men. Which is fair enough. That is their perogative.

Does the skin colour really matter.

For me it's the person, and their personality and demeanour.

I mean I’m also open to all races as I see beauty in all races, it just so happens to be a mild preference of mine that I’m drawn to brown women.

My last ex wife happened to be South Asian

There is a stigma against it, but it's usually the older generation.
