Have you had any odd ones?
A number of years ago I was working for a national furniture company installing bedrooms, I had a fairly big patch and rarely got jobs near home, to this extent I'd gotten pretty pissed off with traveling and found another job for a totally different firm doing basement conversions and damp proofing.
So my last job fitting a bedroom in this house in Hampton court finished on the Friday.
Started with new company Monday morning, after short induction and given van first job was to sort out some flooring in a house in Hampton court.
Bugger me if it wasn't exactly the same house same people.

I was delivering leaflets yesterday and a house had C+D+M written in pen on the top of the door. I think I’d seen it once before but had forgotten what it was and put it in my phone to see what it was and Christy’s Mansionem Benedicat came up I thought I’ll look into it after I’ve finish.
A few minutes later it’s mentioned in the podcast I was listening to and it’s Latin for May Christ bless this house. |

Take from this what you will but understand every word of this is true.
2020 was a funny year with COVID running wild & lockdowns in place etc.
July the 15th was the date and I was just pottering around my garage working on then cleaning my bike, the sun was out and I being in my element was as happy as Larry who ever he is. It was around lunchtime so I made myself a sandwich then sat down on the sofa. I switched the TV on and Sky news to see if the zombie apocalypse had taken over my town and the adverts were running just prior to the 1 'o' clock bulletin so i can accurately say it was a few short minutes to 1pm.
Completely out of the blue I started to cry before the news started, by this I don't mean casually snivelling but the ferocity was so intense it frightened me like never before or since, this came on like a light switch and continued for a good 5 or 6 minutes then stopped as quickly as it started. I cannot overstate how out of character this was or its intensity.
Naturally as a normally strong minded guy with no dramas in life this experience was frightening as there was no underlying reason, like most guys I don't admit to such emotions yet at around 4pm I found myself chatting to a fab friend called Diamond Couger recounting the event, she passed it off as some kind of COVID thing saying it was beginning to get to us all but lockdown never affected me at all, eventually feeling a bit stupid I reluctantly agreed and the conversation moved on but still something felt totally wrong...
7.32am next day I get the kind of phone call we all dread the thought of yet hope we're never going to get. My only child Andrew was 27yrs old and had taken his own life that previous day and died at a local hospital with ER doctors working on him desperately trying to restart his heart, I was so broken it took some time to wonder on the irony I'd cried so uncontrollably on the same day, if the story ended there you'd be forgiven in thinking coincidental but plausible however things took a more unexplainable turn.
It took a couple of weeks with the COVID backlog for the paperwork and autopsy to be completed but imagine how I froze when I read that the ER time of death had been written as 12.56pm and timed to the minute if not second of my emotional outburst.
I'm not promoting any kind of religious experience or spiritual contact but as a fairly educated man I've no explanation for this saddest of coincidences and only Diamond Couger could ever confirm its truth... |

On a first aid course last year for Scouting there was someone who works at same global company as me. He messaged today at work to ask if I knew someone he was on an archery course with on the weekend as was the same surname - yes, i did, it was my son! 😁 |

I recently wrote an erotic story where the protagonist heads to a Hotel to meet someone, collecting a key from reception for a room 825.
Lo and behold, my recent overnight stay at the Gatwick Premier Inn, I checked in and was given....room 825! 😂😂😂 |

Damn, I was chatting to her too and she saw you enter the coffee house, so she shot off and said we'd have to meet later.
Can you get her to message me as it was a shame that we were interrupted |

"I was on the Amalfi coast in a cafe and a woman leaned over and asked ‘Steve?’. Turns out we were in the same class….at primary school. She said I hadn’t changed a bit. "
You looked like a 55 year old in primary school |
