"Is anyone else into the art of H R Giger or similar ?"
I love HR Giger’s work…Birth Machine is incredible and I love the microphone stand he did for Jonathan Davis from Korn. I’m hoping to go to Gruyère later this year to visit the museum and bar.
I also love the works of Dali and Luis Royo |

Constantly Travelling With Work |
I have a collection of signed 1st edition "outsider art" prints from Mark Ryaden, Shag, Anthony Ausgang, Sam Flores, David Choe, Coop and many others.
Love them all, and they will be sold when I retire to pay for a big long adventure |

I studied graphic design, history of art and design and photography in my further education, and was privileged to take a trip to Barcelona to take in the many galleries and sculpture parks Spain has to offer, one of which was an extensive giger exhibition which was amazing and really opened my eyes and mind into the world of surrealism.

Absolutely. Giger's work is sublime.
Also a fan of Tom of Finland. I think you could draw many erotic parallels between the 2 in certain pieces.
Tom is erotic liberation.
Giger is erotic ensl@vement.
For example, Tom’s “Biker Scenes” compared to Giger’s “Biomechanoid” series, with the fetish aesthetic either being one of utopian ideals or sheer nightmares. |

"Giger's work is fucking beautiful 💜"
It's amazing and he's super talented, but I still struggle to call it beautiful, it's stunning and almost beyond words with the detail and imagination in each of his pieces. I just can't describe it as a thing of beauty.
I hope.you know what I mean, no hate, nothing but respect. His works just hits different in my humble opinion. |

"I have a pair of lounging trousers covered in Giger's Alien art.
For weirdness, I love Hieronymus Bosch's "Christ Breaking Down The Gates Of Hell", and especially "The Garden Of Earthly Delights"."
With pieces like those in mind, do you think the majority of the art produced in modern times, will be looked back on with the same admiration and interest as you are now with an artist from over 500 years ago?

"I discovered his work after falling down a rabbit hole on how they came up with the design of the xenomorph in Alien. Some if it is truly stunning "
I went to art school with someone who ended up working with the star wars production. He was the most talented artist for both designing and making spacecraft and alien technology in its many forms. Mind blowing talent that was snapped up instantly and rightly so. The main source of his inspiration was from the deep sea creatures few were even aware of back then. The most talented artist I've ever seen and I hope he's doing well.

The work of Bosch is immediately recognisable, and aside from being striking, a portion of the admiration comes from it being alone in a field of one during its era. The 20th century were more open times, and birthed a lot of avant garde works through greater artistic freedoms, and it's easy to view it as a movement as a whole rather than individual achievements. Dali accepted, of course! |
