I get quite a few people on here asking for me to Whattsap or telegram them. I’ve not given anyone my WhatsApp details but have contacted some on tele, they reply and then they delete the account.

Is this some kind of scam?

Asking for WhatsApp or telegram isn't a scam as such. However they might try to scam you once you go off site.

If you have your wits about you, don't give personal information, identifiable nudes or videos or send money you won't get scammed

Thanks, yeah would never give personal info, just seems odd that people ask then delete

Yeah, it happens but realistically how could they scam you with the information you've given.

I’m pretty confident they can’t but just thought I’d ask on here to check. Measure twice, cut once as my dad used to say

Ryde

When asked if we Kik or Telgram or Whattsap or whatever the hell the kids are using these days, we just reply that we're Luddites who stick to messaging on the site.

The depressingly telling reply is usually:

"What's a Luddite...?"
