I'm currently looking for new jobs and it's soul destroying. Half the jobs listed dont mention any wage, stating only a "competitive salary". Competitave? with whom? An 8 year old earning pocket money or competitive with Elon musks $1T salary? It's not as though I can list mt skills and experiences as "Competitive". Some ask me what MY slary expectations are. So, I have guess the number their thinking of?
These idiots then demand I be "Passionate", and exceptional", but dont really tell me what the job entails.
So this got me thinking, if dating were like job hunting, what would be on YOUR CV?

Competetive salary usually means the average wage of the position in the country. What does it mean to us ordinary people? The lowest they are willing to pay for you to get the job. Last time when I looked for a job I only applied to ones I saw an exact offer with the possibility to negotiate, then I got a little higher wage they said at the end. |

‘Competitive’ is there to out those unable or unwilling to negotiate their salary up. It enables you to do research, see what other similar jobs/roles are paying then justify and ask for more. They are wanting someone with initiative, good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to persuade. |
