"I’ll be honest, ‘hello chubs’ isn’t exactly the kind of greeting I’d want to receive 😳"
That’s only because people decided that “chub” should sound like a bad word. It’s not the word, it’s the stereotype behind it. There’s nothing wrong with being chubby at all, chubby can be beautiful, attractive, and full of personality. In the end, it all depends on how you choose to see it, and confidence always looks better than any label. You’re beautiful, and stop watching influencers, they will only make you feel ugly. |

Completely agree that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes and I don’t pander to stereotypes. It’s just not a greeting that I personally enjoy 💕 |

I think Fab should have a dictionary of fat acceptable words, because every time a fella tries to start a thread appreciating a fat lass he gets bamboozled with “don’t use that word etc”.
They can’t win. |

I like the word ‘rotund’ because the word itself is a bit onomatopoeic. |

Remember size zero was invented by some fat dude who hated himself for not fitting into Hedi Slimane clothes. Nothing wrong with the terminology. |

The fact is the word "chubs" is used as an insult far more than it ever is as a compliment so it is now only associated with negativity.
You might not have meant it that way, and it's easy to say "it's just a word", but if anyone sent me that as a message it would be an immediate block. There would be no discussion about how they meant it. Maybe try more friendly language in the future. |

What would be the better term to refer? In the gay world the term “chubby chaser” exists, chubby bears, chubs is a category and it had a huge fan base, there are world wide events using the term. Don’t understand why in first place the word Chubby or Large became an insult. Since the world there were all types of bodies, just recently a bunch of gym freaks started insulting other people based on their appearance. I personally if I had to choose between someone carrying extra weight or extra muscle, I’ll go with the weight. I find humans in their natural state perfect! |
