We haven't seen the new one but we really enjoyed all the ones we have seen but the 1931 universal Dracula with Bela Lugosi is our favourite. Love Dwight Frye portrayal of renfield in particular!

Bram stokers Dracula is a brilliant film no denying that and Gary oldmans portrayal of the count is brilliant but keanu reeves accent is 'bloody awful'. Can't talk about Dracula without mentioning Christopher Lee's portrayal of the count too! Love a hammer horror!

We rather liked the 3 part series the BBC did on based on Dracula done by seven moffat and Mark Gatiss, it was abit mixed with part 3 of it but we loved that one too.

I'd have to go with my interpretation of Dracula from 7 years ago on Halloween. Given that I was born and raised in Transylvania, makes it the most accurate interpretation 🧛‍♂️...but that's just my opinion 👀

I really enjoyed the second episode of Dracula by the gang that did inside no9.

It's all set on the Demeter and is great with a fantastic twist at the end. Unfortunately the 3rd episode is garbage

I can't remember the other ones mentioned. It's been a long time. Nicholas Cage as Dracula in Renfield was hilarious. And the one in Van Helsing was psychotic and flawed, it made him human.

Ryde

Lugosi (the authentic accent and the bubbling-under sensuality/savagery)

Christopher Lee (the aristocratic air and imposing nature)

Frank Langella (Erotic and sexual - the ladies' choice for blood-sucking crumpet)

Louis Jourdan (Silky and sensual)

Wild Card: George Hamilton (OK, Love At First Bite was a - really funny - comedy, but Hamilton brought his "gets more arse than a toilet seat" nature to Dracula, and it really pays off!

Crumpet Castle

I didn't know there was a new one so I must check it out.

My all time favourite ( I watched it more than once and I never do that ) is the version with Gary Oldman ..... it was the first time I felt sympathy and understanding of the character and saw it as a love story and not a horror.

My early encounters with dracula films were the Hammer HOuse of Horror Christopher Lee versions BUT ....... the tv three parter featuring Claes Bang was so original it made me willing to be bitten.

Anyone gone for count Dukula yet ?
