"Is it normal for women to go off sex pre menopause?
If so, how long does it usually take to start feeling ready for sex again? "
Yes, but only with their husbands. |

Hormones and the menstrual cycle can have massive effects on sex drive. Assuming you're talking about peri menopause, it's wildly variable woman to woman, whether it reduces, increases, or doesn't affect sex drive.
Return to normal ranges from increase, to no change in sex drive to don't touch me for the rest of my life.
Other factors also play into it.

I'm not sure if I'm in peri or not yet, but I'll say that the one period of my life where my sex drive was lowest - I was in my late 20s. It wasn't the damned menopause, it was a damned man. My life was insanely stressful, made worse by my partner, and it killed my drive stone cold dead. |

There isn't a set answer op.
Yes some women will go off sex due to menopause /peri menopause, some won't.
Nobody can say how long it will take before their mojo returns as all women are individuals. |
