When you're chatting away to someone and think you're both compatability with each other. And then suddenly they say they don't like dogs or cats. Does it immediately put you off?

It's a red flag but not a deal breaker. Means they'll never be coming to my home though 💜

I would put me off aye it’s my dogs house too he has free reign to go anywhere he wants in it so if they don’t like dogs it not really going work and I’d never restrict where my dog can go in the house to please anyone

If they never meet my dog it’s less of an issue. If the expectation is that they’ll spend time with my dog then massive red flag.

It makes me question their sanity

But then again that’s already in question if they are chatting to me

No, I doesn't put me off. But if they ever want to come to my home they have to respect that it's the cats' home as well. And whilst I would do my best to remove traces of cat hairs, and prevent the cats from jumping onto the visitor, they would need to deal with it respectfully if it did happen.

It's not a deal breaker I personally don't like cats...I mean I would never own one but it doesn't bother me if someone owns one.

But I love dogs.

My cats are a bunch of complete dicks so I wouldn’t blame someone for not liking them! 😄

I dot accom so they wouldn't be meeting my pets anyway, but I'm wary of anyone who don't like animals full stop.
