Every morning, when apportioning dried fruit to my breakfast medley,
I slightly misquote the words "Go bind up yon dangling apricocks[sic]" from the gardening scene in Richard II.
What are your favourite quotes?
From the Bard, please, not bloody Star Wars or Star Trek. |

""Graze on my lips, and if those hills be dry, stray lower where the pleasant fountains lie" 🔥💦 "
This is from Venus and Adonis.. Starts with Venus aggressively throwing herself at the young Adonis, never works out for her sadly!
If only they had Fab in the 16th century! 😂 |

"Now is the winter of our discontent - Richard III.
Uk winter motto for the next 3 years."
Don't forget that it continues "..made glorious summer by this son of York"
I wonder where Starmer or Farage were born? |

It's an awful moment, blah blah blah but what, you egg has stuck with me for decades.
And it's problematic as a play but I've always loved the witty quips between Pet and Kate - What, with my tongue in your tail? is one of my favourite closings. 🥰 |

Sir Ian McKellan's delivery of this opening monologue in his film version of Richard III is simply wonderful.
His depiction of Richard as a 1930's Fascist Dictator is brilliantly thought out. |
