Does anyone know if hotels in Manchester city centre that are good for sneaking a guy into? Travelodge now have security guards and it's harder with premier inn these days. Don't want to spend a fortune.

The bottom of the River Ankh

I've always stayed at MotelOne in Piccadilly and never had any issues.

I like the Kimpton Clocktower. Costs a bit more though.

Yeah Motel One is usually alright, Mercure in Piccadilly and Ibis I never usually get asked questions if I just walk in like I know where I'm going

They mention Premier Inn, Travelodge and not wanting to spend a fortune...

Kimpton. 😅

Yotel, Townhouse Hotel (not the one with the pool at top) Motel One, Ibis etc. If you're a little out of main areas for people going out you're less likely to encounter security. The Alan can be pretty affordable but the decor is a bit naff.

Hey, I *did* say it costs more.

The Hotel Indigo in Manchester’s alright too. That’d be mid-range, right? Pricier, but not Kimpton levels.

Abby Heywood was a nice place to stay. Nobody seemed to mind, once you have your keycard its a private lift up from the bar

Crowne Plaza is easy. Have used before and had guests play. No key card required so can come straight up or can meet in the bar. Hotel Indigo needs a key card for lift, but possible to get guests in as bar on lower floor with lift access and even at reception its off to the side. Both nice hotels, Indigo beds at a nice height too

It tickled me, Rosie, sorry for quotin' and emotin' . 🩷

Yep, mid-range. It's quite nice in there. There's also Voco and Clayton.

As an aside I really want to try Mollie's. And the tree one (it's already been a long day)

I stayed in the holiday inn twice and both times I managed to bring a woman in with me for meets

Also the premier inn worked she met me at the door and we had a couple drinks before going to her room

Cheshire/Northwest

Motel one or any holiday Inn/ prem inn - just get a second keycard.

Security are never going to remember who's really staying, so don't over think it.

Any Airbnb places, but likely to be pricey in the city centre

Thanks everyone for your recommendations and help. Crown plaza sounds a good choice.

Some great apartments in Manchester to stay a night in where you’d have no issues

What's the issue

Either book the room for 2 and check in separately

Or meet in the bar before proceeding upstairs.

Always works for me
