Thomas the Tank Engine proved really useful (excuse the pun) to me in my early childhood especially when I was diagnosed mildly autistic as it taught me emotion-to-facial expression, reading (some of the books matched television narration) & writing/spelling (was the youngest in my class to spell carriage ☺️)
Beyond that, it tended to be many of the Hanna Barbera cartoons such as Wacky Races, Scooby Doo, etc or even Extreme Ghostbusters into my teens but Thomas would be majorly influential in my life to a adult interest of railways & a evolution of a love to proper steam trains as I grew older 🛤🚂 I did get bullied in school for it as you can imagine but ironically some of those who bullied developed similar interests into their adulthood 😉 |

Bagpuss scared me! It was up there with Dr Who for watching through the crack of the door.
But you've just jogged my memory of The Clangers! I adored that show. |

"Trumpton. -- Pugh, Pugh, Barney McGrew, Cuthbert, Dibble, and Grubb. Led by Captain Flack. "
I've just bought dvds for all of Trimpton, Chigley and Camberwick Green will need to find time for a lengthy session of nostalgic reminiscence of kids TV back in the 70s. Tempted to buy Noggin the Nog but nearly a hundred quid for all episodes!!! |

You can tell a person’s age by what they watched as a youngster cartoon wise. These are what I watched when I was a kid and loved them.
Plus Thomas the Tank |

I don't think you can tell a person's age just by what they watched as a kid. I'm 28 and I watched Tom and Jerry and yet that show was made way before my time. |
