Correct so he was actually Italian by birth not French
He was born shortly after Corsica became French. His parents were Italian. "
I thought it was just before but stand corrected. I know Wellington used to taunt him by using the Italian spelling Buonaparte |

"I am sure it was Corsica, not sure about exact place

I may be completely wrong here but he couldn’t be Italian as such because it wasn’t actually a country for another hundred years. You could argue he was Genoese if his family were from the island but the French took Corsica in lieu of debts to them just before he was born, so officially he’d be French at birth. |

"Mr Jason King is patiently waiting for his history question.
Thank you Sally, im just waiting in anticipation
Your waiting is over"
I see you opted for a science question, so I have one for you and to others if they wish to answer.
If the Sun were to suddenly be replaced by a black hole of the same mass, what would happen to Earth’s orbit, and what major changes (if any) would we experience? |

"Please may I have history too.
Name one of Titanic’s sister ships
Lucitania ?
No, could have had the Olympic or Brtiannic "
There is a theory that the ship that actually sunk was the Olympic, it had had issues and the theory goes that to get the insurance they swapped the ships and sunk it. I will say that there is no real evidence but some do believe it. |

"Why was Julius Caesar assassinated in 44 BC, and did his death save the Roman Republic or help destroy it?"
Ostensibly to save the Republic, but it ultimately led to its replacement. |
