couple, us we him her.

Sad to read about the death of hip hop and electo pioneer and legend

Afrika Bambaataa.

Whilst his life had been tarnished in later years it's impossible to deny his influence on the early hip hop and electro scene and he has been called the godfather of hiphop.

Personally his music was a HUGE influence on me growing up and the ethos he championed.

" peace ,unity, love and having fun"

Not the biggest fan of his music.

But he certainly was a pioneer of hip hop/electro.

Definitely leaves behind a tarnished legacy however

Glos/London

Bambaataa's Theme got me into early Electro/Rap.

He absolutely tarnished his reputation though

While I grew up enjoying some of his music and he certainly had a huge impact on hip hop, I struggle to separate the art from the artist, and his legacy for me will always be tainted by the sexual abuse and trafficking allegations. Bambataa actually lost a civil case regarding it a few years ago
