Why are so many peoples photos years out of date we are clearly going to see what you look like when we meet so why not just update them saves any embarrassment later anyone had anybody turn up looking nothing like their pic |

I have a few older pics on my profile (2021 era)
I had a partner and they were pics that we liked of me. So i guess I feel if she liked them,then possibly others will too.
Plus, I cant be arsed with taken new ones each month, thankfully its not instagram and posting pics of every single moment of your life is not a requisite here |

I think people can have whatever pics they like on here. Although we all love a bit of a boost of people liking them its about doing it for ourselves too.
Plus i would always video call before a meet anyway so it wouldnt be an issue for me |

Pics are out of date as soon as they're taken 
Nobody ever loads a crappy picture of themselves
Only 1 of 1000 ever make it to fab so how real is real.
My 5yr old pics might be a bit dusty but they look better than most peoples recent ones (forever young)  |

Many years ago I chatted for sometime to one of the top forum posters of fab, we'd stayed just fab friends for a couple of years due to distance between us but eventually as they do the stars aligned and she booked a hotel as we were attending the same Manchester social, her portfolio of pics were amazing.
We met in her hotel reception and she called me to say she was just getting in the elevator and wouldn't be long.
After being in contact for so long excitement was running high but as the lift occupants disembarked I recognised no one, there were 2 lifts so I walked towards the other when I heard my name called with a hand on my arm that spun me around... my first thought was why has this girl sent her mother down?
Naturally she'd posted pics taken many years previous, so many years in fact she looked as if she was from a different generation.

Loads of you say you will send recent photos in messages but the old photos will stop some people getting to the message stage.
I understand having old photos you like but have some updated ones as well. |

You’ve got one two-year old photo of some tits, which I assume won’t be wopped out and resting invitingly on your knees for me to recognise when we meet.
A) If you’re going to create a thread whinging about other people, at least have your own house in order.
B) My profile, my prerogative. I’ll run it how I like. If I don’t get any meets from it, or if I do but they decline to take it any further because of how I look, so be it. |

It’s one thing still having old photos on Fab where people can see upload dates. But always a bit dodgy when people share photos on other apps which are old and not represented as such.
Someone I met about 18 months ago was still dining out on pre pandemic photos. It was…a bit of a surprise when we first met face to face. |

I've got some very old pictures on my profile (mostly in friends folder) which I've kept for sentimental reasons.
The way I've set my profile up, I'm not really attracting anyone with my pictures.
On the off chance, when I do start talking to someone, I always send them a live unflattering face picture if I get even a hint that we might meet. Think hair haphazardly pulled back, oodie, resting bitch face etc.
I'd rather be honest, and in the age of AI... This is what I look like, because no one's going to fake this shit 😂 |

I don't mind it. They probably have photos that are more up to date, they like the photos, the person featuring in them, the memories etc. It's only embarrassing if there aren't any photos that look like them, now. And probably not then because they wouldn't care too much.
I'm not keen on people uploading photos from months/years ago as new ones but it's not harming me. |

Genuinely my pet hate. Even bog standard phones have decent enough cameras these days to take pics that aren't grainy or pixelated. Or when they're so close cropped you can't even tell what part of the body they are 🤷🏻♀️

If I’m meeting I change to a pic no older than a couple of months old , but I remove them if not actively looking to meet as it stops 90% of unwanted messages that slip through the message filters , I’ve had people send pics that was 16 years old and I believe the oldest I got was a digital image of a 110 box film camera photo |

Seen accounts saying
"Make sure you send a recent picture,not years old",
and they themselves have old pictures from like 2016 reposting em as new pictures.
Even seen photo verified and meet verified accounts,with someone else's pictures .Kwik Google reverse image does the job. |
