I've been single now for 8 months and I've gotta say I'm finding it hard so to speak to find a date,those dating sites are hell and in the real world it's harder to even being to think about how you chat someone up,I'm knocking on the door at 50 in a few years and I can honestly say it's a hard time to be single,it was a hell of a lot easier back in the day to mingle,am I the only one thinking this !! |

Honestly, no.
Its tough yes but the process is still the same now as it was 20 years ago.
Try all the apps and sites etc as much as you wish but, in my opinion, the best way to meet people is go to places you enjoy going to. Do the things you enjoy doing. Widen your social circle within these pursuits. The people you will match and get on with best, will most likely like the same things as you, whatever they may be. So place yourself in that enviroment for them to notice you.
You still have to face the nerves of asking them out etc, that never changes but those nerves are soon forgotten when they say yes.
You'll be alright OP, you just got to keep your chin up, keep smiling and keep at it |
