So fellow fabbers who enjoy cooking

Abit of a random one

Which chefs or recipe books do you rate for recipes?

A few to get us going:

Flavourful Turkish/Cypriot meals made simple - Meliz's Kitchen by Meliz cooks

Complex, science backed and flavour packed - The food lab by Kenji Lopez

My go to for looking for random recipes - Serious Eats website (Run by Kenji)

I don't enjoy cooking but I have an old recipe book that was my mums that has recipes for everything you could ever want (including how to brew lager from scratch) and some you don't. It has recipes from loads of different people in it.

I also have a cake, pastry and bread book that someone gave me for Christmas around 1980 that I consult regularly

I wouldn't say I enjoy cooking dut I do really enjoy baking, prefer baking savoury but do sweet as well.

I follow Meliz on Instagram and made a couple of her things, very tasty!

Instagram wise recently I've been enjoying amyshepherdfood and lemo_lemons (made her Thai red curry roast chicken a couple of weeks ago and it was delish!).

Whatinthrchef is also good, jadesbites and mealswithmax

I have so many cookbooks but I hardly use them these days, I find a lot of inspiration on Instagram as I like watching them demonstrate the method as it makes it easier to replicate.

If you like to know the science behind why cooking foods in specific ways works (yes I'm a nerd) then Kenji's recipes are great

Usually have photos for each step in the recipe too

Did some black bean burgers yesterday which were quite simple but phenomenal

Only issue sometimes in sourcing ingredients

Round the bend

I don't follow many tbh but I love Misty Ricardo for Indian cuisine.
