Hiya, just wanted to come on here and say for a while now I’ve been interested in attending clubs/socials/parties but haven’t really built up the confidence as of yet. I would like to attend some in the near future but would find it easier and more enjoyable to go with a partner just so I can ease in as I don’t really know what to expect.
If any women are looking for similar things or happy to get to know me and try attend together, my inbox is always open. |

It's a very common request, a guy looking for someone to go with.
Going to an event with someone you don't know well, as a woman, can be stressful - you're now part of a unit and their behaviour reflects on you. Sometimes these guys - despite saying they would never do it - assume that going with you means they're guaranteed sex.
I imagine it's orders of magnitude harder to find a club buddy, as a man, than to find a one on one meet as a man. |

The guy lost it in the club, got overwhelmed and read a situation wrong, despite reassuring me beforehand it was not going to be his first time. I'm not risking my membership for that.
My advice - look at clubs/events you're interested in, join the forum chat about it on here, see who else is going and try to connect beforehand. Some clubs also have chat groups on instant messaging services that you might be able to join. Just be advised that even if you do arrange to meet someone inside, they may not turn up or you might struggle to find each other, depending on how busy the event is. |

As a single man who goes to events, I know exactly how it feels to go in alone. I would always, always, always plan to go in on my own because if it's too much for you, which is ok, you can leave at any time. Another big one is that you may not get to play, don't get the idea that you will 100% get the ride. Be open, chat to people. Only by going in alone will you push yourself to meet others instead of staying with one person you barely know. It took me 3 parties before I was comfortable to play at the parties. Dress up nice, don't get d*unk, and just be yourself. That is the best advise I can give |

I'd never want to go to a club with a total stranger, as I'm then responsible for them and they could turn out to be a total liability.
Instead, just go, be normal, chat to people and don't be a pain to anyone |

It's a really common thing for men to ask me this,I always say I am happy to meet in a club unless I've met them before but don't want to feel obliged to stay with someone if there isn't anything there.
Maybe talk to people who are going then you can maybe have a social at the event or club. |
