So the whole "is cheating okay" thing got me thinking.

What is not okay but you do it anyway?

Do you go over the speed limit?

Do you jump red lights when you could have stopped?

Do you pocket money/items found on the ground?

Drop/leave litter in the park/beach?

Dodgy firesticks?

There are many more, and probably much better examples for my point but I've been up since 4 so my brain is slow.

What things do you do that are not okay morally/lawfully, but you do them anyway?

Going beyond the 5 second rule and fighting the dog for a dropped Haribo...is that one?

Breaking the speed limit is probably the only one I can think of right now…I’m generally a very rule / law abiding goodie goodie 😬

Taking a trolley to the basket self service tills. Those shallow trolleys though not a full size one that would be evil.

The law is not based on morality.

That is a crime against humanity.

That said I use the trolley self scan tills when I have just prescanned a couple of items in my bag. They are always empty.

We all probaly break " Laws" every day or week without really realising it though apart from the more obvious stuff and depends on your so called moral compass as such which ones you decide are ok to break though and a survey dome last yer even found out we all a silly white lies every single day sometimes more than once even to our nearest and dearest ?

I thought the 5 second rule has gone to 10 seconds because of the financial climate

Oh crikey, I even take other people’s abandoned trolleys back in a car park.

I will go as high as 34 on a 30 road 😬🫣🤣

I don’t necessarily blindly follow rules, it’s more that I can see the reason and collective good behind them.

I usually abide by most laws except when I think they are not necessary or applicable to the climate we are in. For example, I'm in favour of recycling. Do I meticulously ensure every item is recycled according to the instructions? No. The real change needs to come from big nations and developing countries, how they use fossil fuels and discussing how developing countries can transition without an industrial revolution. That's above my pay grade.

Speeding would be another one. I drive within the limit. However, the conditions of the road play a factor. Weather conditions, are there any other vehicles on the road, speed cameras, pedestrians etc. Unfortunately there have been some horrific accidents, which is why we have speed limits in certain areas and not in others.

I don't leave reviews that are demanded of us with reminders everyday ad infinitum for every single interaction we have these days. Fast food, shopping, car rental, Dr's, blood tests, service, support calls, blow jobs...

Nothing I can think of - if I don't think it's morally okay to do then I don't do it.

I'll also stick to the law almost always, not out of ethical considerations but because I don't want to give an officer a legal excuse to punish me for anything he doesn't want me doing (but isn't illegal).

The 5 seconds rule is a bit redundant when you have 2 second dogs
