There are a lot of creatives here, both in writing and otherwise. (And those who dabble, those who have serious talent, and those who... don't).
I think the variety of creativity here is such - and competing priorities come into play - that you might not get the kind of creative discussions you're hoping for. |

Chapter 2 was gonna be about shagging a hunk from Brighton. Fantasy forum… |

From what I’ve seen there’s a lot of creatives on fab , in writing and otherwise in a broad scale of talents and abilities .
As well as a number less so who enjoy alluding to having talent but enjoy the attention 😂 |

Sometimes talent is most definitely in the eye of the beholder (and therefore the mirror). |

OP, there are many wonderful people on this site who have a wide array of artistic and creative interests, just like you.
Swing (above) often kindly posts her creativity in the "Stories and Fantasies" section. This is one of her recent stories which represents her 'oeuvre' —

"I'm currently working on a writing project, and I was just wondering if there were any other people in here with creative interests who'd like to chat?"
What writing? ( said in the voice of the dog from the what doing advert) |

I've written a novella and a horror short story. Working on another sci fi horror novella.
It's more catharsis than anything; the ideas and conversations keep swimming around in my head until I write them down! |

What do you want to chat about? I'm heavily in writing at the moment. I did for 27 days non stop in Vietnam and I'm finishing up this week and next you just have to get on a roll don't you?
I ditch the laptop. I do everything on an iPad now I can just grab it when I'm in bed right now, I don't use Microsoft Office or in design until last. I use Day One for the writing and free-form for visual media. Keep it simple remove every single barrier until you are finished, then get TECHNICAL. |

I've written a number of film scripts over the years, mainly for my own amusement. The market has always been flooded, so I don't bother trying to sell them. I could have given them to people I've worked for in the 'biz, but I'd rather not go all George McFly and be unable to handle the rejection!
I'm a journalism grad who arrived at the conclusion that I'd rather not go swiping photos off the sideboard of grieving parents when they're not looking, so didn't pursue it. That's when I started doing film/DVD.Blu-ray reviews and built up a decent following over the years. Nothing's better than that cheque for having an article published in a favourite magazine of your youth.
It's funny, but with talk on here of ditching laptops, etc, I find that I can only really write properly when using a tower/desktop. I was trained to type on electric typewriters (yes, they came in electric... ) and maybe it's just personal preference, but they seem more reliable, and the satisfying "clack" of the keys almost spur you on.
One of the best things I can give anyone is that if you are out and about, always keep something to take down ideas if they suddenly strike. NEVER rely on memorising it, as you'll either forget it entirely, or not be able to reconstruct it was good as you originally did. It sounds obvious, but so many ideas are lost or spoiled that way.
Yes, the boring bastard has finished now! |

And it was excellent too. I had some story ideas but I doubt they will come to fruition. |
