Damaged is a cover by plummet. The song was written by a US Christian Rock band and Singer of the same name Plumb.
The song is about dealing with themes of emotional pain and healing from past abuse. When I was younger I thought it was a love song.
It reached number 1 in the UK.

Diamonds Are Forever.
Thought to be an ode to gemstones, but it's actually about willies. The Bond producers only heard the song when it was too late to change it, immediately figuring out the hidden meaning.

However there is potentially a love still between the "singer" and the ex partner. Could be lust (well there is a lust), but it can also be interpreted as love (with no actual evidence otherwise).
The song was written as the obvious, but depending on the perspective the meaning can change. Regardless of the subject of cheating itself, that doesn't mean love is not present between the "cheating" party. |
