These days it's harder to celebrate. I have a flag pole outside my house and when the Chinese imported flags went up. Stopped putting mine up.
Currently have England Rugby for the girls.
We should celebrate, one of the most diverse saints there is.
Pint of London Pride for me!!!! Or two |

Should the far right be celebrating St George?
From my recollection of history, he was from Cappadocia (modern-day Turkey), was a Roman army officer, and was martyred in Palestine - so not your typical white anglo-saxon.
Guess one thing that the right might like about him was that he never came over to England (didn't that farage chap threaten us around the time of Brexit with being inundated with people from Turkey? maybe we need to send St George back ) |

Celebrating the life of someone who came from either Turkey or Lebanon (sources vary) shouldn't be a sign of racism.
Celebrating St George's Day is a fine way to remember the contributions to England made by people from all over the world. |

Happy St George's day. As a Cynraes I don't celebrate. But take a leaf out of your Celtic neighbours books. Celebrating your national day doesn't just mean waving a flag, which is a tad boring let's be honest.
Engage with your nations rich history, learn some regional dialect or eat some regional dishes, read some epic English writers books, go admire your beautiful landscape, the list is endless. Much more interesting than a flag, people moan they can't take pride in their country. Nobody is going to object to you talking about Shakespeare, that the Peak District is absolutely beautiful or that Morris dancing is kinda cool (well it is in my opinion). |
