Hi everyone, probably just local to me but bare with me, I’m a 60’s something single guy widower who should know better, but I had a couple of messages from firstly a couple who I know on Facebook in their 30’s and the hubby wanted to pump out his Mrs to me shag and secondly a single female friend, again in her 30’s who wants to meet secretly without her bf knowing, like a stupid old fool I was of course flattered but alarm bells were ringing, as I know both of them, we chatted for some time and yes like a complete idiot I exchanged pics, not just face but intimate and when I kept asking both to phone me as I know their voice, they both kept making excuses, like kids are still up (couple) or bf is around (single female) so I said ok phone me when you can feel it’s ok for you, long story cut short, both profiles deleted their accounts when I said I will ask questions of you that only you will know as we are friends already on Facebook, the messages were instantly deleted, as were the fabs on my pics, profiles immediately disappeared within minutes of each other, clearly it’s someone who has access to my Facebook account, yet on here, like most I use a false first name. I’ve met some lovely genuine couples and single people on here and I’m not slagging off fabswingers but please everyone, be very careful who you respond to, I feel such an idiot being drawn in by younger women supposedly half my age wanting sex either an older guy in his 60’s but thank god I had the sense to challenge their genuine identity. Happy safe fabbing everyone, lesson learned the hard way lol

How exactly did you get scammed apart from sending someone naughty pics with nothing in return.

In my opinion they are just time wasters and you know them on facebook ?

This in itself sounds odd to me. Maybe it isnt but i wouldnt know as i dont use it.

Dont stress it.

Onwards, there is fuckery to be had 😁

"Think with your brain…"
this is actually a very good advice, OP. Your "little brain" often tries to take over, especially on a site like this. Probably best to have a wank over the situation, that would put the "little brain" to sleep for a bit, so your "big", or "upper", brain can get engaged. As this one would probably start nagging at you that if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. You live and learn, OP.

It’s the hypothalmus having a shag with the limbic system rather than sitting back and thinking about it as the prefrontal cortex does.

Also, no need for sarcasm, eh?

If I was talking on here to someone I know, and they told me I would be getting questioned later... if I was having a bad day I'd do a disappearing act too.

I had a spate of messages last year from good looking men purporting to be in London, as the convo moved along i was asked for my WhatsApp/email and told that the guy on the other end was actually in Ukraine and it was dangerous for him to be using Fab. The alarm bells rang so I blocked and reported all of them to admin.

It's wise to use photos that are unique to you on Fab, that you especially don't use in social media. This stops people doing reverse image searches and discovering private identity information.

Please report any inappropriate profiles or behaviour, to Admin, who always investigate. This is possible, even if blocked.

Hi, from a practical view point, it would be good practice to change passwords on FB and this site as well as others. This will break any links the people may have to you and reduce potential use of your emails/accounts if they were phishing for personal data etc.

In general its good practice to change passwords on occasion. Never use the same password for different sites.

You can also try a site that checks if your email(s) have been used by others.

Type in your web browser the following,

Have I Been Pwned

A site match will come up and you can type in your email and it checks for suspicious uses.

Hope you find this useful x

Had someone about a month ago find me on telegram, they sent two pictures of an attractive young blonde woman (saying this is me). Instantly knew it was too good to be true, so I asked their username on here, they told me and surprise surprise no user with that name found. They said they had fab’d some of my pictures, I have a look and like most days 0 fabs on them.

I basically just started saying that whoever they are, they are terrible at what they’re doing. They still wouldn’t back down either saying they were real. It was laughable that they couldn’t prove anything.

Felt sorry for them in the end, probably just some weird lonely guy who for whatever reason chose to try and get some dick pics out of me. All they got was a berating

Tried to report inappropriate behaviour several times to admin. Don't even get a reply never mind any action. When you call it out in the Forum 1) you are somehow the bad guy

2) you get a temporary ban from the Forum for 'badmouthing other members'when you are simply stating facts that are visible on someone's post and pointing out their behaviour.

3)other members pile in with cunty comments (instead of calling out bad behaviour) with no consequences

4) you get accused of being a bully for trying to highlight bullying

5)you get brain-dead comments such as "it's not bullying if it's online"
