You know when one day you think to yourself "I'm not sure this is still me" but you've carried it on out of habit.

Clothes, hairstyles, hobbies, people or your ability to stay out until 4am and still make it into work.

I've been considering retiring my tounge piercing. Younger me would be horrified at the idea. Current me is mainly worried about accidentally swallowing it with a cup of tea.

I’ve retired a few things.

Drinking to get d*unk. I still like the occasional drink but that’s for pleasure.

Running. After running ultras I just haven’t got the time or motivation to run 80+ miles a week.

I still need to work on retiring spending money frivolously 😂

Football, I was a season ticket holder for about 15/20 years, then one day I was like “ fuck this shit, I’m stressing myself out for no reason at all, while paying to do so”.

Nowadays I couldn’t name one player or tell you who the manager is, I’m never stressed/gutted on a Saturday afternoon, life is bliss.

That makes me sad, Joe. You know I love the gym too, but there's room for both! And so much the social side with sports too. I'll take up walking football once the running is beyond me! 🤣

Another for recreational sports. I don't have the time anymore. I do love the social aspect of it too. I mostly see people at weddings, funerals or a match of some kind. Everyone is so busy these days. Or maybe that's what life is like as an adult?

I prefer the gym. Recovery after football is different now. I used to play 4 days a week and gym 4 days a week. I can't dedicate that kind of time to it now.

I used to wear eyeshadow everyday but that's been retired and only used for evenings out. I have also retired lipstick, I now much prefer a neutral gloss.

I've retired styling my hair everyday, in favour of a messy up do most days. I now enjoy making an effort when we go out.

By making minor changes to my beauty routine I have embraced a more natural makeup & hair look during the day, which means a little extra time in bed.

Yeah, I've been nostalgic for playing 5 a side and cricket again. I can't do cricket with the training and matches taking all day and I guess I don't like the idea of playing football and not lifting as much as I could if I was doing legs 😅

You never lose your thighs once you get them. Every day is leg day. Finding trousers that fit is a problem.

Yeah, I get that. Can only go on my experience, but my squat hasn't been affected by a weekly game of 5-a-side! I still manage to squat twice a week and do alright, but I'm the opposite as I'd miss football too much.
