I used to competitive game (FPFs), but due to carpal tunnel, had to give it up.

No, he didn't. It was a conspiracy theory from fans of the guy he played against. This was the craziest theory and it stuck and now that guy is known as anal beads chess guy. I also play chess and watched the documentary. That guy's career is ruined.
It's almost impossible to cheat in chess during a live game with cameras everywhere and people watching. The guy had cheated online when he was much younger and got caught. So the community decided that was enough to accuse him again. |
