"Heard good things about PT 141, has anyone used it?"
Yes, I have tried it to help with the low libido caused by my hormone treatment. I opted for subcutaneous injection because it was easier to get than nasal spray systems so I had to make it up from a freeze dried powered and then manage dosage calculations etc. This approach allows more control over dosage but means you have to be comfortable with doing your own injections.
It definitely helped but it can have fairly intense side effects, for me this was a mix of flushing and nausea. I found taking a ginger juice shot helped with the nausea.
Functionally it works by stimulating a couple of the receptors in the hypothalamus responsible from dopamine release and this is what helps with desire. It does also increase blood nitric oxide levels with helps with sexual organ engourgement which may also help women's sexual pleasure, unfortunately this aspect of its affect in women I can't really give user comments on.

"I don't even know what that is.
Apparently it's like a Viagra for women but on steroids 🤷🏼♀️"
Sounds risky and dangerous. I'm sure you'll be fine. If it's in pill form, try half first. That's according to the Viagra forums. |

PT-141 has not been approved in the UK, in the USA the FDA did as a treatment for hypoactive sexual desire disorder (HSDD) but only as subcutaneous injections. There has since been research into it as a nasal spray but this method was largely phased out of formal clinical trials due to a higher incidence of localized side effects.
Ingestion of tablets doesn't work as PT-141 is a synthetic peptide and the human gastrointestinal tract is highly optimized to break down proteins and peptides into basic amino acids for nutrition so very little, if any would enter the bloodstream this way.
